Slams: 2115 | Welcome back to Retro-Remakes We are now on a new host, big thanks to Tetra, once again who has done a great job!
Now with a new version of PHP and MYSQL, the site works much more like we had planned in the first place, and some features that we wanted to be there from the start are now added becuase it's safe to do so!
Please do enjoy the site, keep checking back too because this is very much "work in progress" , we are dedicated to getting the best portal possible because the fantastic reamkes all deserve them!

It\'s nice that there is a new batch coming now. The site should be transferred to the new host on Tuesday, there will be more features added too.
Post count, recent comments etc and you\'ll all be able to properly edit your profiles too.
Hopefully the problems we had in the start of post ownership loss will all be gone too.

Slams: 2115 | I very nearly took over the coding of the portal myself because Tetra was delayed beyond his control in France.
He\'s back on it now and he assured me that he would be making every effort to finish the portal asap. The plan is to get what is here already including some other features 100% working and then put it on the new host. My subscription is due on 15th of August, Tetra has promised me that it would be done by then.
After this the site will be completed in 4 or 5 more stages with new features being included each time.
The forum is still there, but as it is I can\'t log into it to change the permissions so people can get at the resources so unless I can fix that then they are off limits unfortunately. I can\'t even access them myself as you have to be logged into the forum to download them and as this site is here too I can\'t log in!
A resource page is definately on the to-do list mate.

Slams: 418 | I don\'t know if you guys have planned to add links for all stuff added on old R-R forum or a way to upload it, like all those sc68 songs, fonts, libraries. And I\'m wondering if it\'s possible to have a link to the old forum ? Until the portal is completed ?

Slams: 2115 | I handed the keys to the new host to the PHP guru in residence >Tetra< Because this host uses PHP 4 and the new one is 5.2, the differences are radical.
Therefore there is no point in doing more work on this version of Retro-Remakes, Tetra is working on the PHP 5 version instead.
Please do keep posting bug reports here though.
Hosting contract here runs for approximately 3 weeks longer so please do not expect any more visible changes here until then (work is carrying on behind the scenes).

By the way, there will be a short period of downtime (likely a couple of days) while the new version is put online (this will happen I am guessing in a few weeks).

I will have the fun task of moving the forum over in the next couple of weeks.
Tetra, when you come home I will set up a folder for retro-remakes and give you the details
Druid, as I said to you before, One.com is not really suitable for me because I did not want them to have control of the domain name... Also these days even their hosting deal has been surpassed. But thanks for the advice.
