@metalwar: good to have you here mate! I'm glad that you joined!! I know Anome 68000 (ex Ackerlight Switzerland and later Zenith) will join soon as well! It just reminds me that I need to add more Alcatraz intros/demos here!

Feel free to come back whenever you want and share some stories with us

Hi really cool website.

So long time ago when the first demos were coded on Amiga.. it's really amazing to see that some people continue to develop some..

We all learned a lot with the C64 & Amiga.. !!

Best regards,

Metalwar / Alcatraz

I some of you may have noticed, I started to release duplicates of intros previously released. The reason is that I always wanted to have them all and also to clean my harddrive which over the years became a mirror of the Amiga intros/demos archives on the net.

So blame me if you feel like, call me lazy or give me other names, as you wish. I'm just going to release all of them.

This does not mean that I stop remaking new ones at all. Actually I simply want to get rid of the large number of variations I have and move to some new ones and of course bring more demos. Together with Shockwave, Rbz, Nzo, Padman and the others, I think we will have enough fresh meat to continue the growth of the collection here at the same previous rates. Of course the number of online remakes will go higher faster because of my decision.

Player Manager was awesome.. For me the ultimate Amiga habit forming games were SWOS, Populous 2, Powermonger, Carrier command, Kick off and Paradroid 90, there are probably a few others too but those games were where I wasted most of my life when I wasn't painting or on xcopy..

I guess now a days it would be rather an USB stick throwing competition with all the different models available you could even use a shock resistant one ...

Headhunter sold his real life against a WoW one ? Damned where are the good old Kick off, Player Manager and Civilization habits gone

)) sID is jalous he has never made a demo. Maybe now he can win the CD competition, it's easier to throw than a floppy hehe. But he was a top level cracker.

The sneaker nice to have you on board .. For all who dont know him he was the man who won the floppy disk throwing competition at the Party 1994 in Herning remembers me of the horribly long bus trips to get there watching braindead ...
